Howard Weber is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before transferring to The University of South Florida, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in 1982. Howard then earned his law degree, Cum Laude, from Stetson University College of Law in 1985.
Following his admission to the Florida Bar Howard joined a Miami insurance defense practice before moving to Tampa in order to take a position with Progressive Insurance Company, first in the legal department and then as a trial attorney. Howard then opened the GEICO Tampa Staff Counsel office, working for over a decade as a trial attorney in matters involving insurance coverage and injury litigation.
While with GEICO Howard became Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar in 1999, and was re-certified in 2004. After then working in a private insurance law practice Howard was asked by First Floridian Auto and Home Insurance Company to join the company as its Florida Claim Counsel. Howard later accepted the position of Florida Claim Center General Counselor for Travelers Indemnity Company (parent company of First Floridian). During his time with Travelers Howard earned both the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Claims (AIC) professional designations.
Howard re-entered private law practice in 2011, joining as a trial lawyer the prestigious Danahy & Murray property insurance law firm, where he represents individuals and businesses in insurance claim coverage disputes and bad faith litigation.
Howard is admitted to the Florida Bar, and to the Middle, Northern and Southern Federal District Courts of Appeal, is certified as an umpire by the Windstorm Insurance Network, and has been a Florida Supreme Court certified Circuit and County Court Mediator since 2002.
